TTATO – This That and the Other :)

First, a little something to hopefully make you smile!  I gave Frankie a spoonful of sloppy joe’s and mixed it in with his regular food.  Look at his whole face.  His mouth is orange and he even got food on top of his head!  Silly dog!!

I’m using up my left over Homespun yarn for scarves.  These two scarves are going to be donated to Bridge and Beyond homeless organization.

And I wanted to also share a picture of my Prayer Box that I just made. I REALLY need one, so I took out some of this and some of that, and came up with this.  :)

My Mom gave me the Angel in a frame, and the Angel pin is from my grandmother. I sure wish I could say the feathers are from an Angel!!

Have a great evening!  I’m off to start another scarf.

A Little of This-N-That

Hi!  Hope everyone had a good day today!!  I thought I would share a couple of things with you this evening, before I forget to.  I’ve been procrastinating on a few things, and updating my blog is one of them.

First, I’d like to share with everyone a picture of the most recent charity project.  It’s Project 9 with Craft Hope.  This project was to make and/or decorate pillowcases that will go to Conkerr Cancer; a nonprofit who distributes the pillowcases to terminally ill children throughout the country.  Visit both websites for information and details, please.
I didn’t want to sew the pillowcases, so I bought them at Walmart and embellished them instead.  I quickly sewed little pouches and embellished them. Then I used Velcro to for the closure, and Velcro to adhere it to the pillowcase.  I wanted the kids to have a little secret area they could put things like money, and when they go to open up the pouch for themselves, they will find 2 crocheted small hearts – just to let them know they are loved!!

These tomatoes are from my garden.  There are Big Boy, Roma, and cherry in the colander.  I’m going to take my friend Kathy’s advice and chop these up, blanch and freeze them.  That way, I can use them for salsa when I’m ready to make a batch. We haven’t had a taste for it lately, so this is a great way to save for when we do want some!!

These are pictures from yesterday. I had Grandma by myself yesterday, so I thought I would take some pictures of her with her cat and my dog begging for food!! Her cat’s name is Rocky, and is part minx and bobcat.  He has orange eyes.  He’s really a pretty cool cat, but is a little dangerous at times. He is so fast that when he runs past us, he gets under our feet and scares us. I worry that he’s going to scare grandma by darting around so quickly and make her trip and fall one of these days. (By the way, she is wearing the headphones I bought her. She’s so hard of hearing that we can’t take how loud she sets the volume, so this way, we/I don’t have to listen to it!!!!)

Have a great night!!  See ya soon!

Crochet Donations and Experiments

Hi Everyone!  I hope everyone is well!   I’ve been a little under the weather, but starting to pick up again.

I’ve been doing some more charity crocheting and I’ve been trying a few different patterns, just to shake things up a bit!

Here are a few pics of what is going to EGF.

These items are going to Touching Little Lives (TLL).

This is a dog sweater, which is my first attempt. It’s not that bad!  I only made a few mistakes, but you cannot see them, and let’s face it…. Frankie loves me-flaws and all!!  (Isn’t my Frankie the cutest! I might be a little bias! :0)

This is a scarf I started, which is going to Craft Hope – Red Scarf Program, but I ran out of yarn.  I thought I had two skeins, but once I dug through my yarn containers, I couldn’t find the other one.  A great excuse to head over the Michaels or Joann Fabrics for more yarn!

THANKS FOR STOPPING BY!!  Have a great day!!

Looks Who's Up To No Good!

                          DSC01497 (Medium)

I found this little guy peaking out from underneath my bed!

(Don't pay attention to the magazine and crocheting stuff on the floor next to my bed.  I like to sit in bed and crochet and listen to books on CD (or watch MASH!))

Frankie's Doggie Play-date Today

I think it went pretty well.  There were the usual shenanigans!  (I gave Frankie a quick haircut and it looks hideous. Don't laugh!)

And their happy owners!

This really was just an excuse for Kelly and I to get together and visit. This winter has really kept me from visiting with friends, so I picked up Frankie and we went up the street to have a play-date!  The sun has been shining all day and it's wonderful!  Sad news though.... we're supposed to get rain this evening and it will last through tomorrow night.  I'm just going to be optimistic that it's one day closer to spring!!

Pictures of the Day

I just thought I would share a few cute pictures of Frankie taking over my laptop. I was laying in bed the other morning, playing on the laptop, and when I went to get something to drink, this is what I came back to.

By the way, the afghan that the computer is laying on top of is the afghan that my grandma Scott made me. I spoke about this on one of my Daybook posts. I know it doesn't match my purple stuff, but I don't care. It's soft and comfy!

Computer Blues!

Hi Everyone! Sorry for not posting for a while. My main desktop computer crapped out on me and the parts I ordered still have not arrived yet. Hopefully tomorrow!

Meanwhile, I'm using my old laptop to write this. I just had to share with you these pictures of Frankie sucking on his (stuffed animal) bear's nose. He is so damn cute!!!

Enjoy!!
