7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to ___staying in and snuggling with my puppy Frankie. It’s freezing outside. Tomorrow my plans include ___replacing a motherboard on a friend’s laptop, put a new hard drive in a desktop, finish sewing the foyer valances, and work on my website. Sunday, I want to ___ go shopping at Kohls!

A Slideshow and Update on What I Did Summer and Fall 2009

Hi everyone! I’m Baaaack! I had to take a break from the blog because I had too much going on around here this past summer (and fall.)

I would like to share a slideshow of a what I accomplished with the new driveway, new landscaping, remodeled kitchen, remodeled foyer, and remodeled laundry room. Like I said….. Busy, busy, busy!!

I’m so proud of everything. The only thing I didn’t actually do myself was put in the new driveway and lay the new laminate floor throughout the foyer, kitchen, and laundry. Everything else I accomplished with little to no help from others. Although…. there was one person that was a huge help with electrical issues (and miscellaneous.) This house was wired so strangely, but he is so smart and patient that he figured it out. Thanks Thad!!!

Projects are starting to wind down – only a few more – and I’m glad because I’m pooped out!!

If you’re wondering where I learned how to do this stuff, the answer is….. from watching my brothers and dad when they did remodeling…. and tried to use common sense.

I hope you like the new driveway, new landscaping and three-room home remodel.

The Simple Woman’s Daybook

For Monday, November 23, 2009

Outside my window... 4:30 a.m. (ish) - A quarter moon that is super bright. It’s really pretty!
I am thinking... That I really need to get to sleep, but wanted to get my Simple Woman’s Daybook done before another week passes by w/o doing it.
I am thankful for... The amazing guidance the Angels and God has given me.
From the kitchen... The kitchen is closed right now. :-) I’m going to bake a few pumpkin rolls tomorrow to take over to my brother’s house and to my friend’s house on Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, I will not be seeing my Dad that day.
I am wearing... That’s my secret.
I am creating... Crocheting many preemie baby items to donate to the Emma Grace Foundation (EGF). Preemie baby hats, preemie baby tube socks, preemie baby booties, and baby blankets.
I am going... To stay home all day tomorrow/today and bake and sew. How domestic of me!
I am reading... Not reading any books presently.
I am hoping... That the new year will bring me LOVE!
I am hearing... My dog breathing by my ear. My sweetie is sleeping right by my head while I lay in bed and type.
Around the house... There are many little projects that need to get done before I even start to put up Christmas decorations.
One of my favorite things... Is to go bargain shopping at the local thrift stores. It’s so satisfying to find something for dirt cheap, other than paying full price (or should I say…. Over Price!)
A few plans for the rest of the week: Enjoy Thanksgiving with my family and friends, and to finish up the little projects around the house.

1. The last band I saw live was ___ Barry Manilow. It was an excellent concert. He is a true showman. (Dorky, I know.)
2. What I look forward to most on Thanksgiving is ____ Eating with my family, then going over to my BFF’s house for the evening.
3. My Christmas/holiday shopping is ___ going to be very brief this December.

5. I wish I could wear ___ hats, but I look goofy in any style hat.
